(Director 1995-present) - Kris grew up along Moore's Creek in Charlottesville. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts and graduated with an MFA degree. Kris is a freelance commercial artist and has participated in large non-profit public art projects in Richmond, Washington D.C., and Virginia Beach. Kris serves on the RCS Development Committee, coordinate the RCS Photo Contest in 2007 and created a series of RCS note cards with the her hand drawn River Otter and the Kingfisher. Kris and her husband Angus Murdoch (RCS President) live in Fluvanna County and raise sheep, cattle and other animals on their farm. Kris is the editor of the RCS Newsletter and the mother of William Roscoe (the newest honorary member of the RCS Board of Directors).
