(Director 2004-present) - Phyllis led all of the Rivanna River trips in 2004 and organized the major river clean-up in October of that year, an event that involved 300 people cleaning the entire length of the Rivanna River. She has spoken to school groups and staffed many events including Natural History Day at Ivy Creek Natural Area, the Vegetarian Festival, Earth Day, the Canoe Raffle and Old Farm Day. Phyllis is a certified Save Our Streams monitor responsible for two sites in the Rivanna watershed?s StreamWatch program, involving biotic testing four times a year at each site. Phyllis holds a B.A. and M.Ed. from the University of Virginia and has been an educator for 25 years. She is a native of Norfolk, Virginia.
