SUMMARY:Community Lab School Watershed Education Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP \nOn April 16th\, RCA is hosting a watershed education field trip for students from Community Lab School and we need your help! The location for this field trip is Preddy Creek Park. Volunteers are needed from 9:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. \nStudents will rotate through benthic macroinvertebrate sampling\, chemical water quality testing\, and a fun ecology game called Macroinvertebrate Mayhem. \nNo education experience is necessary! We will host a virtual volunteer orientation on Sunday\, March 8th at 7:00 PM to walk through each activity\, and will pair new volunteers with more experienced ones during the field trips.

SUMMARY:Western Park JRBP Tree Planting
DESCRIPTION:Join RCA in planting trees for the James River Buffer Program in Crozet. We will be planting new tree and shrub seedlings along the banks of a stream. \nRCA will provide all needed tools and instruction on-site. Volunteers should wear long sleeves\, long pants\, and closed-toe shoes. Please bring a water bottle. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. \nThis event is subject to change due to weather.
