In December of 2021, RCA worked with the James River Buffer Program and the Dunlora Homeowners Association to plant a riparian buffer along the Rivanna River and two streams. In all, over 2,700 native trees and shrubs were planted. To promote the success of these seedlings, RCA is seeking volunteers to help with some light maintenance in the planting area. This work will consist primarily of removing bird nets from trees that are now growing out of their tubes.
RCA will provide all materials needed for this work. Volunteers should wear closed toe shoes, long pants and bring water.
