Join the Charlottesville Area Tree Stewards, Rivanna Master Naturalists, and RCA for a volunteer workday in Pen Park! We will be performing survival checks and light maintenance on the trees and shrubs planted by the Rivanna Forest Restoration Partnership.
We will meet at the parking lot near the golf course and walk to the area where we will be working, which is about 1/2 a mile. We will provide snacks, water, and all necessary tools. Please bring a water bottle, and wear long pants and closed-toed shoes to reduce your exposure to natural hazards in the working area. We also recommend bringing an outer layer to protect your arms.
Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult throughout the entire workday.
This event is subject to change due to weather. If you have any questions, or sign-ups are closed, please email in**@**********er.org.
